Renowned Star Pat Finn, Recognized For Roles in Seinfeld and The Middle, Has Died at the Age of Sixty.

American performer Pat Finn, who was seen in beloved programs including "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has died at 60 years old.

The comedy and improvisation performer died at home in Los Angeles, California recently after undergoing treatment for cancer beginning in 2022, according to media reports.

"Pat Finn considered no one a stranger - only friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones shared in a announcement.

They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".

An Extensive Television Career

His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.

He also had a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.

He starred as Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in the late 90s, playing a social organizer famous for delegating burdensome jobs to his guests.

In the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on numerous popular shows, like:

  • Friends
  • That '70s Show
  • "House"

His most famous role for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight series over nearly a decade.

His cinematic roles include "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.

A Life in Improv

Beyond his television work, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.

He was involved with a comedy group of six known as Beer Shark Mice.

"He guided, supported, and advised countless students throughout the years and you'd be hard-pressed to find a person anyplace who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

In a tribute, peer actor Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".

"Always positive, making those around him better and funnier. A wonderful father and man," he posted publicly.

The actor is leaves behind his partner Donna, his children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
